Title Breakdown For Speedbowl Divisions
Coming into the #Bowlstrong 2017 Finale this weekend many point battles will be settled. The hottest point battle at The Bowl is in the Mini-Stock division. Charles Canfield comes into the Finale holding a two-point lead over Wayne Burroughs Jr. and a five-point lead over Jacob Perry. With heat races posting five points down to one for the top-5, the points will be shuffled going into the final 25-lap event. Perry’s last start at The Bowl he took down his second win of the 2017 season.
In the SK Modifieds, Keith Rocco is looking to take down his 5th straight championship. Rocco in the 2017 season took down nine wins and takes a sixteen-point lead over Kyle James. Sitting in third 30 points from the top spot is Todd Owen. Again, with points being awarded in the heats James will be trying to close the gap going into the 80-lap extra distance event held on Sunday.
Another close championship to be decided on Saturday is in the SK Lite division. Dana DiMatteo brings slim four-point lead into the final 25-lap event in the 2017 season. The two swapped leads over the last handful of races. The hottest driver in the SK Lite division is Bryan Narducci who took three wins out of six races he competed in at The Bowl. With points being awarded again in the heats, the points will be shuffled going into the finale.
The Limited Sportsman division the point leader has his faith in his own hands. Chris Meyer who took down six wins this year, all he must do is take the green for the 30-lap feature and he will drive away with the 2017 Limited Sportsman championship.
