Race Handicap System In Place Starting Wednesday
We’d like to begin by thanking all of the race teams who have shown up and competed with us so far this season. The support and number of teams competing with us has been more than we could have expected on such short notice at this point. With that being said we want to address how we have been and will be determining our race line-ups.
Leading up to the start of the season we had concerns like most people that with short notice our car counts could potentially be low across all of our divisions. We as management decided that we would work off of a draw system for the first 3 weeks and then reevaluate it after that. With that being said the first 2 weeks have shown growth across almost all of our divisions which makes determining the line-ups by draw an inefficient, and frankly unfair option. We have decided that it’s in everyone’s best interest that beginning with the event on 8/19/20, and going forward, we will begin handicapping using the Money Won system as outlined in the 2020 New London Waterford Speedbowl General Rules.
The Handicapping Chart will be updated in those rules as we made changes to our base purses after they were posted.
