2nd Annual Bubby Brouwer Memorial SK Lite Race

The second annual Bubby Brouwer SK Lite Modified race is this Saturday September 5th. Bubby was the “in the background” backbone of the Speedbowl.  Bubby worked all week long at the Speedbowl so that all of us could enjoy racing at the best track in Connecticut. He knew every nook and cranny of the track like it was the back of his hand.  If something was broken, Bubby would figure out a way to fix it on a shoestring budget. He was a cantankerous soul.  Although, anyone who knew Bubby, knew his bark was bigger than his bite.  We are thankful to have known Bubby and some of us were lucky enough to be his friend.  

Bubby loved to race at the Speedbowl.  His SK Lite #49 and X-Modified #16 ran many laps around the 3/8ths of a mile track that he called home.  Saturday night we will honor Bubby for all he was and all he meant to the Speedbowl in a 49 lap SK Lite Modified race.  

Qualifying begins at 3:30 pm  – Opening ceremonies begin approximately 4:50 pm with racing to immediately follow.  Divisions racing are: S/S Sport Trucks-Open Street Stocks-NLWS Trucks-Mini Stocks-SK Modifieds® – Sportsman-SK Lites Modifieds – Late Models
